How to Remove Label Shadows on Transparent Materials in Keyshot

For a visual guide, you can watch the accompanying video to make it easier.

When you add a glass or clean plastic material to an object in Keyshot and then place a label on top, you might notice a shadow of the label appearing on the object. Here's how to fix that:

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Double-click on the object to open its properties.

Step 2: On the right side, click on 'Material Graph'.

Step 3: Add a new node:

  • Right-click in the Material Graph window.
  • Select 'Utilities'.
  • Click on 'Ray Mask' at the bottom of the list.

Step 4: Connect the 'Ray Mask' node to the 'Opacity' input of the 'Plastic' node in the Texture Map.

Step 5: Double-click on the 'Ray Mask' node to open its settings panel on the right side.

Step 6: Uncheck 'Apply to Back of Geometry'.

Now, you should see that the label shadow on the object is gone.
